A few weeks ago, we shared the news that nearly 20 new Phantom Apps would release over a 30 day period. Today, we’re spotlighting our recent progress.
Sign in to the Phantom Portal to see the latest versions of the Splunk App on Phantom and Crowdstrike App. You’ll also find a new DNS App that implements investigative actions like ‘lookup domain’ and ‘lookup ip’ to return DNS Records for the object queried, as well as a Request Tracker App that allows ticket management by implementing actions such as ‘create ticket’, ‘list tickets’ and ‘get ticket’.
Phantom Apps now include release notes. We thought these would be useful with the frequent additions and updates. Release notes can be viewed per release, per App on the Apps listing page in the Phantom Portal.
In February, when we announced our GA, most of the App development was led by our team. Just 3 months later, we’re seeing major contributions from the community. Phantom Apps are now coming from customers, Community Edition users, and partners.
Our strategy to be the first company to provide an open community for security automation and orchestration is working, and it benefits everyone in the community. A big THANK YOU to those who are contributing!
Are you in the community? Here are a few ways to get started:
Get the Phantom Community Edition. It’s free to use, and a great way to try automation & orchestration (register).
The Phantom Community Edition is also the best starting point for creating Phantom Apps. Once you have an account, sign in to the portal and click “Learn” on the menu. You’ll see full documentation, the knowledgebase, and helpful videos.
Join our Phantom Tech Sessions. We host them every two weeks. If you’re interested in App Development, see the recorded sessions that focus on this topic (Part 1 and Part 2), or join us this Friday for Part 3.
Hope to see you in the community!
