Write a Phantom App and Win a Free Pass to the 2018 Phantom SOC User Conference!

Phantom just concluded its inaugural SOC User Conference in Washington D.C. on September 21 and 22. It was an amazing, sold-out event where Phantom Community members presented their Security Automation & Orchestration (SA&O) use cases with the audience. Attendance was so high we had to move the venue to a location that could seat more users! Well, with the first SOC User Conference in the history books, it’s already time to start planning for the 2018 conference and it’s fitting to start our planning by engaging with our active community members.

Keep up to date with our 2018 User Conference! Sign up here:

Between now and Friday, December 1, 2017, any Phantom Community member that contributes a new app will be issued a FREE PASS to the 2018 Phantom SOC User Conference. The app needs to be new, meaning one that is not already published. For a full list of published Phantom Apps, please review the App listing page at https://my.phantom.us/apps/. If you have any questions on whether a particular app qualifies, please submit your inquiry to apps@phantom.us.

There are great resources that can help you with Phantom App development for your integration. As of Phantom 3.0, we have an integrated app development tool that guides you through the app development process. For those who attended the User Conference, we demonstrated building a fully functional app in less than 20 minutes! It’s amazing how much easier the development process is using this tool, so you’ll definitely want to explore it if you’re planning to write a custom app for your own internal use. In addition, there is a comprehensive Phantom App development tutorial available in our documentation: https://my.phantom.us/3.0/docs/appdev/overview. This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide to developing an app.

There are two ways to submit your app.  You can email it to apps@phantom.us or submit it via our community site at https://my.phantom.us/apps/ using the submit app button.

Finally, if you need help getting started, you can request a quick training session by emailing apps@phantom.us. We also have a dedicated #apps channel in our Phantom Community Slack channel that can be used as a resource.

Good luck and we look forward to your submissions and attendance at the 2018 Phantom SOC User Conference!
